Earlier this month, Samsung released a software update for the Galaxy S24 series that offered the stable version of One UI 9.0. Despite the update coming out in October, it packed the September security patch. Now, the brand is rolling out another update to the lineup to offer the October 2026 security patch.
The company seems to be rolling out the update globally, with India being one of the first countries to get it. The package size is 312.35, and it carries firmware version S92xBXXSIEZJ1 (via Tarun Vats). The latest security patch addresses 62 vulnerabilities present in the previous firmware.
We expect Samsung to release the October 2026 security update to the Galaxy S24 series in other regions over the next few days. When it does, your phone will notify you about it. If it doesn’t, which may happen sometimes, you can check for it manually by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
On a related note, Samsung is in the advanced stages of developing One UI 9.5, and the Galaxy S24 series is eligible to get it. The new software has also been leaked, which reveals all the changes and upgrades it offers. You can check it out here.
