Samsung Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56
In July, we learned that Samsung was developing One UI 9.0 (Android 17) for the Galaxy A36. Unlike some other phones from the brand, which were expected to get the beta program for the new software, the Galaxy A36 wasn’t expected to get access to the beta. Well, the South Korean tech giant has surprised us.
Samsung has opened the One UI 9.0 beta program for the Galaxy A36. So far, the brand has made it available in India. The update has a size of 2,376.19MB and firmware version A366EXXUCZZHI (via Samsung Community, Tarun Vats). It also brings the August 2026 security patch, which fixes 56 security vulnerabilities.
To get access to the beta version of One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy A36, open the Samsung Members app, search for the banner for the new software's beta program for your phone, tap on it, and enrol your device in it.
Now, go to Settings > Software update > Check for updates. Here, you should be able to see that the update is available for your device. Watch our video below to see the biggest upgrades it brings in action.
