This will be the first time in years that Samsung will be using non-ISOCELL or Sony sensors for the primary camera on the Galaxy S series.

Leaks about Samsung's next flagship non-foldable smartphone lineup, the Galaxy S27 series, started surfacing even before the Galaxy S26 lineup was unveiled. Now, a new report has revealed details about the primary and ultra-wide rear cameras on the regular Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27+.
According to Galaxy Club, the Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27+ will feature a 50MP Sony sensor for the primary rear camera. If true, this would mark the first time in many years that Samsung has used a Sony sensor instead of one of its own ISOCELL sensors as the main camera in a Galaxy S series smartphone.
The report also claims that both phones will retain a 12MP ultra-wide rear camera. It means that the South Korean tech giant isn't planning any upgrades in this area compared to their predecessors.
If the information is accurate, the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ will extend Samsung's streak of using the same ultra-wide camera resolution in its flagship Galaxy S phones to eight years.
There's no information about the telephoto cameras of the two smartphones. Hopefully, we will get to know those details soon.
