Samsung is scheduled to launch its next lineup of flagship smartphones with foldable displays on July 22, 2026. It is expected to offer three devices: Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8.
Ahead of their debut, the brand seems to have started updating its apps for Galaxy smartphones, with support for upcoming devices, and it doesn't seem to be shying away from mentioning their names publicly.
Samsung has released an update for the Camera Assistant app for Galaxy smartphones. According to the changelog, it makes the app compatible with One UI 9.0, and to that extent, it says that the app will work on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Flip 8 (via @Alfaturk16).
A couple of days ago, Samsung released an update for the Camera Assistant that brought a new feature exclusively for the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 8, among other things. Clearly, Samsung is no longer trying to keep the names of its upcoming foldables under wraps.
