A couple of days ago, Samsung released a software update for the Galaxy S21 FE that brought the May 2026 security patch. It fixes 36 security issues present in the previous version of the OS, making the phone more secure than before.

Back then, the South Korean tech giant offered the update for the international variant of the phone featuring the Exynos chipset. Now, the company is rolling it out to the international variant of the device featuring the Snapdragon SoC.

At the moment, Samsung is offering the update in India. Its size is 374.08MB, and it carries firmware version G990B2XXSJIZE1 (via @KAILASH61229293). To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

If you have been wondering about One UI 8.5 for your Galaxy S21 FE, unfortunately, the phone may not get it. However, nothing is set in stone yet. Since the software support for the device is ending, you may want to get a new one.
