Samsung is in full tilt when it comes to rolling out the May 2026 security patch to its smartphones and tablets. To that extent, the brand has started rolling out the latest security update to the Galaxy A56 and the Galaxy A26, making them more secure.
One of the first regions to get these updates is Europe. The new firmware for the Galaxy A56 carries version A566BXXSACZE2, and that for the Galaxy A26 carries version A266BXXS9BZE5. The May 2026 security patch fixes 36 security issues.
The brand may be rolling it out in other countries as well. To check its availability and to get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Speaking of updates for the Galaxy A56, Samsung recently released One UI 8.5 for the smartphone, which brings a plethora of new features and visual changes.
The Galaxy A26 is also eligible to get One UI 8.5. However, there’s no information about when the tech giant will release the new software for the device.
