Last month, Samsung upgraded the Samsung Wallet app for Galaxy phones in India with support for AU Small Finance Bank's credit and debit cards. Now, the company is updating its digital wallet app once again with support for Yes Bank debit cards.
Today, the Samsung Wallet app displayed a new notification on our Galaxy S23 Ultra in India. Its What’s New section had a new card in the Promotions tab, notifying users that the app now supports debit cards from Yes Bank, as you can see in the images below.
You can now add Yes Bank debit cards to Samsung Wallet and use your Galaxy phone to make payments at point-of-sale (PoS) terminals. To make the payment, open the Samsung Wallet app, select the card you want to make the payment with, and tap the phone to the payment device.
In October, Samsung added four major features to Samsung Wallet in India, which you can check out here. With consistent and meaningful updates, Samsung is making the app more useful. It may increase the app's popularity and usage, helping Samsung capitalize on it in the long term.
