A major upgrade predicted for the OLED display panel.

Samsung's already launched four different models in its Galaxy S25 series but it's not done yet. There's going to be a Galaxy S25 FE as well that the company is going to launch in the coming months.
Its focus has been on slimming down devices this year and we're likely going to see that reflect in the Galaxy S25 FE. Samsung is rumored to be making a key change that will result in a slimmer Fan Edition device.
According to reports out of South Korea, Samsung is going to utilize flexible OLED display panels for the Galaxy S25 FE. Not to be confused with foldable OLED panels, flexible panels don't use hard substrates like the rigid OLED panels that Samsung has used for previous FE models.
Samsung's flagship Galaxy S phones have flexible OLED panels. The thinner panels coupled with gains elsewhere might result in a noticeably slimmer Galaxy S25 FE. Rumor has it that the device measures 7.4mm thin compared to its predecessor that measured 8.0mm.
A recent report also highlighted that the Galaxy S25 FE's 6.7-inch display will have thinner bezels. This should result in a more premium user experience on a device that aims to deliver a near-flagship experience at an affordable price point.
These changes should also help Samsung further distinguish the device from some of the better Galaxy A models. It's not likely we'll see this device at Samsung's Unpacked event later this week as that's for the new foldables. The Galaxy S25 FE release should take place around September or October this year.
