Samsung has finally unveiled the Galaxy Tab S8 series today at Unpacked 2022. The company answered every question people might have about the new flagship tablet series, including availability and prices for a few key regions.
The Galaxy Tab S8 series is available for pre-order in several markets beginning today, and customers can pre-purchase the flagship tablet in the USA, Europe, the UK, and South Korea.
The pre-order period will remain open until February 25. Galaxy Tab S8 pre-order customers will receive a Book Cover Keyboard Slim as a bonus. Meanwhile, Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra pre-orders will be paired with a Book Cover Keyboard.
How much are you expected to pay for the Galaxy Tab S8?
Prices start at $699 / £649 / €749 for the Wi-Fi-only model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For twice the onboard storage, you'll have to pay £699 / €799.
The Galaxy Tab S8 5G variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs £799 / €899, and the 256GB model has an £849 / €949 price tag.
Moving on to the mid-sized Plus variant, the Wi-Fi Galaxy Tab S8+ with 8GB+128/256GB costs $899 / £849 / €949 (128GB) and £899 / €999 (256GB). For the 5G variants, Samsung commands a price of £999 /€1,099; £1,049 / €1,149.
As for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra model, it too comes with Wi-Fi-only or 5G connectivity. The Wi-Fi models with 8/12/16GB of RAM and 128/256/512GB of storage cost $1,099 / £999 / €1,149; €1,299 / £1,099; 1,449 / £1,249. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G with the same storage configurations will set you back £1,149 / €1,299; £1,249 / €1,449; £1,399 / €1,599.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the most expensive Android tablet Samsung has ever produced. But whether that price is justified is another matter. After all, the tablet is almost a notebook replacement, thanks to all that screen real-estate, the S Pen, and all the productivity tools accompanying it.
