The next hot Samsung Galaxy mid-range phone reportedly in production

The Galaxy A52 is an excellent mid-range phone that still holds up very well seven months after its debut, and its sequel, the Galaxy A53, has some of us excited more than the flagship Galaxy S22. And if the latest report about the Galaxy A53 is to be believed, the phone is already being manufactured in India, suggesting that it could go official less than a year after the Galaxy A52.

Considering the Galaxy A52 was announced in March and went on sale the same month, we're a little skeptical of this report. That said, it's not like Samsung loves following the yearly schedule for launching new devices in a series to the letter. The company sometimes launches sequels to existing phones just a few months later, and in the case of the Galaxy A52, Samsung took longer than a year to bring it to market after the Galaxy A51 (which launched in December 2019).

The point here is that Samsung might or might not launch the Galaxy A53 before March next year, and that nothing can be said for certain, especially with the global chip shortage still showing no signs of letting up. Whenever the Galaxy A53 arrives, though, we can assume it will be yet another mid-range phone from Samsung that offers excellent value for money while offering many flagship-grade features.

However, the number of upgrades it brings over the Galaxy A52 might not be too impressive: expect only a newer processor, newer software, and a larger battery. Oh, and the A53 will not feature a headphone jack if leaked renders of the phone are to be believed. Unfortunately, but that's where the industry is headed and it seems Samsung wants to follow along.
