According to our friends over at GalaxyClub, Samsung is currently testing a 50-megapixel primary camera like the one found on the Z Fold 5. The company could still switch to a 200MP camera later in the development cycle, but that isn't the case right now.
Samsung may also be using the same 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP cover display front camera, and 4MP under-display camera. Details of the zoom camera aren't available, but Samsung will likely stick with the 10MP 3x optical telephoto used on the Z Fold 5 and keep the fancy long-range zoom funtionality exclusive to Galaxy S Ultra smartphones.
More information on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 should start showing up online in the coming months, though we are keeping a lid on our expectations when it comes to major hardware upgrades. In addition to better cameras, we would like to see Samsung switching to a cover display that's not as small and cramped, but whether or not our wishes will come true remains to be seen.
For now, if you want the best flagship smartphone and don't care for a foldable screen, you should take a look at the Galaxy S24 Ultra, a fantastic device that builds on the awesomeness of the S23 Ultra. You can check out our detailed review of the phone here and watch our video review below.
