Last week, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 received the February 2024 security update. However, back then, the update was limited to the European market. The new security update from Samsung has now started rolling out to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US.

Locked and Unlocked units of Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 get February 2024 security update in the US

The carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is getting the new security update in the US with firmware version F711USQS6HXAF, and it is available on Metro PCS and T-Mobile networks. The factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is getting the new update, and it has arrived with firmware version F711U1UES6HXAC.

The carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 now has access to the February 2024 security update in the US. It comes with firmware version F926USQS5HXAC and is available on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile networks in the country. Both these phones are getting small updates that only include the February 2024 security patch that aims to fix 72 security flaws that were discovered in the previous software version.

If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 3 or the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and live in the US, you can now check for the new software update on your device. To do that, you can open the Settings app on your phone, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. Alternatively, you can download the appropriate firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Both foldable smartphones were launched with Android 11 onboard and received the Android 14 update a couple of months ago. They will get more software features in the next couple of months when Samsung rolls out the One UI 6.1 update to them. You can watch all the new features and design improvements that One UI 6.1 brings in our in-depth video above.
