Samsung has unveiled its newer-generation robot vacuum cleaner and mop, and it is called the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo. It will be showcased at the CES 2024 show floor next week. Samsung says that its new robot vacuum cleaner offers an easier cleaning experience to users with the help of AI and smart connectivity.

Samsung's Bespoke Jet Bot Combo features AI and requires minimal user intervention

The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo is powered by AI, like most of Samsung's newer high-end home appliances and smart devices. Samsung introduced AI Object Recognition with Bespoke Jet Bot AI+, and that feature has received an upgrade with the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo. It uses a 3D sensor to scan various types of objects and applies cleaning efforts accordingly. It can recognize spaces and stains. It can recognize and categorize mapped areas and automatically recommend no-go zones, such as the bathroom or the entrance.

When it recognizes a stain, it goes back to its docking station to heat up the mop pads and then comes back to the spot to scrub off even hard stains using high-temperature steam, water, and heated mop pads at 170RPM (Rotations Per Minute). This reduces the need for user intervention and automates and eases the cleaning process. It can even recognize the type of flooring in each room and use different settings to suit the cleaning process for that particular flooring. It even prevents carpets from getting wet and stained by dirty mop pads by either lifting up the pads or leaving them at its docking station.

It washes the mop pads using a three-step process, which includes auto wash, steam cleaning, and auto drying (using hot air). This prevents the pads from staying stained, and steam prevents odor from building up. Samsung is expected to unveil more AI-powered home appliances leading up to the start of CES 2024. It has already unveiled the Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with AI Family Hub+, Anyplace Induction Cooktop, and Slide-in Range, all featuring big touchscreen displays and integration with Samsung Food, Samsung Health, and SmartThings.

New Bespoke Jet AI has more cleaning power

The company also unveiled the Bespoke Jet AI, which has more suction power (310W) than the previous-generation model. It also features HEPA Filtration that blocks fine dust emissions. The new vacuum cleaner jet has an AI mode that recognizes and classifies the cleaning environment and adjusts the brush load and pressure to achieve optimized cleaning performance. Adjusting the suction power as per the scenario improves power efficiency and battery life as unnecessary battery usage is reduced.

It is also the first wireless stick vacuum cleaner in South Korea to get the AI+ certification from the Korean Standards Association.

Moohyung Lee, EVP and Head of the Customer Experience Team of Samsung DX, said, “I am thrilled to introduce our innovative vacuum cleaner lineup for 2024, the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo, which leverages our latest AI technology to meaningfully improve its usability. With powerful cleaning as a baseline, the new robot cleaner moves the consumer cleaning experience forward through innovative features. We firmly believe it will make cleaning more enjoyable for our customers.

The Galaxy experience can be messy for first-time users

Some say it's always better to have more options, but it's never as clear-cut as it sounds. This design philosophy doesn't always work, and more importantly, it isn't a magical shortcut that can patch everything up and always lead to a better user experience. On the contrary, if not handled properly, I believe the “more […]
