Apple unveiled the Vision Pro, its much rumored augmented reality headset, at WWDC 2023 back in June. It will provide users with new experiences by blending digital content with the physical world.

The company hadn't confirmed precisely when the headset would arrive and recent rumors had suggested that perhaps the release had been delayed. There's a new report out, claiming that the headset may arrive earlier than expected. It suggests that Apple is likely going to release the Vision Pro headset by February 2024.

Apple rushing to get the Vision Pro headset out to customers

Bloomberg reports that Apple is gearing up to launch the Vision Pro AR headset by February next year. The company will reportedly not conduct another launch event for the device, which makes sense, considering the fact that at its $3,499 price the device won't find a huge number of customers at this point in time.

Apple is reportedly going to release a new software version for visionOS, the platform that powers this device, later in 2024 alongside the usual slew of software updates for Mac and iPhone. Production of the Vision Pro is reportedly running at “full speed” in China, it has been for a few weeks now, with Apple planning to have retail units ready by the end of January 2024.

There's a lot that Apple needs to do prior to the launch of its first AR headset. An earlier report revealed that the company will invite some employees from each Apple Store to its HQ in California by mid-January. They'll be provided training on how to use, present, and sell the headset to customers.
