Samsung keeps unspoken promise with One UI 6 for millions of Galaxy devices

In case you haven't already heard, Samsung is doing a splendid job with the One UI 6.0 rollout. It all began with a beta program, as it has every year since Samsung first introduced One UI and started doing public beta tests for major software updates.

The One UI 6 beta testing took a little longer than Samsung fans had hoped. The Galaxy S23 series was the first to get a beta version of One UI 6, and Samsung released nearly 10 beta updates before rolling out the stable version to the masses.

Since then, it's been a constant barrage of One UI 6 updates, and Samsung is on track to fulfill an unspoken promise, that most eligible devices will be running the latest version of Android and One UI by the end of the year.

Samsung never outright makes any claims about how long it will take to release a new Android and One UI upgrade to everyone with a compatible device. But in the last couple of years, it has become increasingly efficient at the job, and it is now making a habit of pushing out big OS updates at a lightning fast pace.

Last year, the official One UI 5.0 update was released to 30+ Galaxy devices by the end of November, and it's a similar story for Android 14/One UI 6. With just a little over three weeks remaining this month, Samsung looks well-prepared to finish the One UI 6.0 rollout for a majority of devices that are on the eligibility list before we can bid farewell to 2023.

Samsung of course won't have much time to rest once it's done with the One UI 6 update. The Galaxy S24 lineup is expected to go on sale by the end of January, which means Samsung will soon start working on the One UI 6.1 update and will spend the first quarter of 2023 sending it out to several Galaxy phones and tablets.
