Over the past few months, multiple reports have suggested that the Galaxy S23 FE will feature an Exynos chipset instead of a Snapdragon SoC. Earlier this month, the phone popped up on Geekbench, revealing the Exynos 2200 chipset. Similarly, plenty of reports claim that Samsung could launch an Exynos 2400 version of the Galaxy S24 in some regions. Today, another report confirms that Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy S24 could come with Exynos SoCs.

Galaxy S23 FE to come with Exynos 2200 chipset

According to a new report from Pocket-Lint, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 FE later this year, and more importantly, it will come with an Exynos chipset. Earlier this month, however, the Galaxy S23 FE was also spotted with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC on Geekbench, which suggests that Samsung could also launch a Snapdragon version of the device in a few countries.

The Snapdragon-powered variant of the device will most likely launch only in the US. Other regions could get the Exynos version of the device.

Galaxy S24 to feature Exynos 2400 SoC in Europe and Asia

The publication also claims the Galaxy S24 will arrive with an Exynos SoC in February 2024. However, it says the Exynos variant of the phone will only be released in Europe. This report is in line with previous reports. In the US, Samsung will most likely launch the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Asian markets like India could also get Exynos-powered Galaxy S24.

Samsung fans in European and Asian countries are fed up with the inferior performance of previous Exynos chipsets compared to their Snapdragon counterparts. The only hope for them with the Galaxy S24 is that the Exynos 2400 doesn’t suffer from previously known issues like overheating, performance throttling, less efficient modem, and battery drain issues.
