    April 2023 security update released more widely to Galaxy S21 FE in the US

    Usually, the US is among those countries where Samsung releases software updates slower. However, Samsung surprised us yesterday by first releasing its latest security update to the Galaxy S21 FE in the US. And the update was applicable to the carrier-locked version of the phone. Now, the unlocked version of the Galaxy S21 FE is getting the new update in the US.

    What's new with Galaxy S21 FE's April 2023 security update?

    The latest software update for the unlocked version of the Galaxy S21 FE comes with firmware version G990U1UES5EWC2 in the US. It brings the April 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws, and some of them were termed critical. While the new update doesn't bring any new features, it might fix some bugs and improve the stability of the smartphone.

    The new update is now available for the Galaxy S21 FE on all carrier networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, Cricket Wireless, C-Spire, DISH, Metro PCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile.

    If you have an unlocked version of the Galaxy S21 FE in the US, you can download the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the newest firmware file for your phone from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin PC software.
