Every year, Google reveals new features it is planning to bring to Android, Android TV, Wear OS, Android Auto, and its other platforms and services during the Google I/O developers conference. Similarly, the company is planning to hold the Google I/O 2023 event to announce new features that are coming to Android 14 and other platforms.

Google has announced that Google I/O 2023 will take place on May 10 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA, USA. We can also expect Android TV 14, Wear OS 4, Android Automotive OS, and Android Auto updates. Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai will host the main keynote during the event. The company has lined up over 100 on-demand technical sessions developers can attend online.

The first developer beta version of Android 14 was released a few weeks ago. The company is trying to improve the experience of using apps on multiple screen sizes, making the best use of bigger screens on foldable phones and tablets. The company is pushing third-party developers to develop apps for bigger screens, wearable devices, and smart TVs. Other Android 14 features include predictive back gesture, longer battery life, improved dual-SIM functionality, eSIM transfer tool, PlayStation DualSense Edge gaming controller support, and enhanced privacy/security features. Most Android 14 features will likely make it to Samsung's Galaxy smartphones and tablets through the One UI 6.0 update later this year.

Apart from Android 14, the company is expected to unveil the Pixel 7A smartphone. Google could also announce a launch date for the Pixel Tablet and tease the rumored Pixel Fold smartphone.
