Last month, Samsung unveiled its second-generation QD-OLED TV, the S95C, at CES 2023. The company accidentally revealed its new TV's pricing a few days ago. Now, the S95C QD-OLED TV is available for purchase in the US, with an eye-watering price tag for the 77-inch version.

The S95C is now listed on Samsung's website in the US. The 55-inch version starts at $1,499, while the 65-inch version is priced at $1,799. The 55-inch and 65-inch versions of the S95C are slightly pricier than LG's previous-generation C2 OLED TV. The 65-inch version is still cheaper than LG's G2 OLED TV. The 77-inch version of the S95C, which is the biggest you can get, is priced at a whopping $4,499. That's almost $1,000 costlier than LG's G2 77-inch.

77-inch S95C QD-OLED TV costs way too much than it should

We need to see how LG's and Samsung's new OLED TVs fare against each other. However, a $1,000 markup seems unfairly high. Hopefully, Samsung starts offering good deals and discounts with its flagship QD-OLED TV model. Shipping of the new TVs starts on February 15, 2023, in the US.

Samsung's new QD-OLED TV has the same design as last year's model, but the company is using AI and new materials to push the peak brightness to 2,000 nits (but still no Dolby Vision) and HDR10+ Adaptive. The new TV also features a 144Hz variable refresh rate, complete with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync Compatible.

The new TV also comes with a slim One Connect box, Neutral Quantum Processor 4K, HDR10, HDR10+, HDR10+ Gaming, HLG, Dolby Atmos, Object Sound Tracking+, Q-Symphony 3.0, Game Motion Plus. Samsung Gaming Hub, SolarCell Remote controller, and an anti-reflection coating on the screen. The TV has 70W 4.2.2-channel speakers, Active Voice Amplifier, dual-Bluetooth Audio (5.2), Wi-Fi 5, four HDMI 2.1 ports, three USB ports, an Ethernet port, and an optical port.
