Galaxy Buds Pro India pricing revealed in pre-booking deals

The Galaxy Buds Pro might not have been the headliner of yesterday's Unpacked showcase, but the best wireless earbuds Samsung ever made are nothing to scoff at. And given how much effort Samsung India committed to localizing the event, it's no wonder that it's going to participate in the gadget's worldwide release. That would be January 29th, the same day on which the Galaxy S21 series is scheduled to hit the stores across the planet.

In the meantime, the first pre-booking offers are now live, allowing us to confirm the Galaxy Buds Pro pricing details for India. The premium in-ear headphones will set you back Rs 15,990 ($220) if you place an early order with Samsung – online or otherwise.

The company's retail partners across India are also accepting pre-reservations as of today. The regular price will be Rs 17,990, or just under $250. EMI financing is on the table, as well, starting at Rs 752.70 ($10) – even on debit cards. As an added incentive, all Galaxy Buds Pro pre-orders in India come with a coupon that slashes the price of Samsung's 10,000mAh Wireless Powerbank from the equivalent of $50 to $7.

Are the Galaxy Buds Pro worth it?

The price tag attached to the Galaxy Buds Pro is by no means cheap, but keep in mind that the device is meant to be a higher-end alternative to Samsung's existing earbuds instead of an outright successor. And nothing underlines that better than the sizable price cuts to the Galaxy Buds+ and Buds Live made several weeks back.

Assuming you're part of the audiophile crowd this device is clearly targeting, we're happy to report that a $100 difference goes quite a way in the Galaxy Buds family. And Samsung's pricing is hardly arbitrary, as it's clearly looking to take on the AirPods Pro, which are typically sold at the equivalent of $340 (Rs. 24,900) in India.
