Samsung opens up Galaxy S21 pre-orders at flagship killer prices

Samsung's new Galaxy S21 flagship trio is finally official after what felt like an unending stream of leaks, chipping away at the excitement surrounding Unpacked 2021 – or perhaps building up hype, depending how you look at it. But it's January 14 and the new flagships are almost ready to hit the shelves. Luckily, we have all the availability details you need.

The Galaxy S21 series has entered a pre-order period today, which will last until January 28. The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra will then go on sale and ship to customers beginning January 29.

How are the Galaxy S21 series prices looking like?

Pretty decent, actually, and that's even accounting for the fact that none of the new flagship phones ship with a wall charger and a pair of wired earbuds in the box. The base Galaxy S21 variant is priced at $799 / €849 / £769, which is arguably a good starting point for the new flagship series. It's virtually flagship killer territory.

Prospective buyers who might prefer the larger Galaxy S21+ model with Gorilla Glass Victus on both the front and back will be looking at a $999 / €1,049 / £949 price tag. This variant also boasts UWB technology.

And finally, the top-tier Galaxy S21 Ultra costs $1,199 / €1,249 / £1,149. All these prices correspond to the series' entry-level memory configurations with 128GB of built-in, non-expandable storage and 8GB or 12GB of RAM on the Galaxy S21/S21+ and the Galaxy S21 Ultra, respectively. The beefier variants with more RAM/storage cost extra.

Samsung is also selling the Galaxy S21 Ultra S Pen accessory for $39.99, the silicon case with S Pen for $69.99, and the Clear View case with S Pen for $89.99.

Pre-order customers will get additional benefits but they vary by region. However, every pre-order customer will get a Galaxy SmartTag for free. Samsung is also offering additional color options throughout the pre-order period.
