Brazilians love the Galaxy S10 a lot more than the Galaxy S9

Samsung has announced that Galaxy S10 sales are outperforming Galaxy S9 and S9+ sales by 80 percent in Brazil a month after launch. The Galaxy S10 lineup had received twice as many pre-orders as the Galaxy S9 and S9+ in the country, and it looks like things got even better once the devices went on sale.

Samsung isn’t breaking down numbers by device, however, so we don’t know which of the three Galaxy S10s is doing the best. Of course, one can assume it’s the Galaxy S10+ leading the charge, but there’s no way to say for certain. One can hope the Galaxy S10e is also showing good sales performance, as it turned out to be a surprisingly good compact flagship that trumps the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9.

Galaxy S10 lineup also doing well in other markets

The Galaxy S10 trio are also doing well for Samsung in other parts of the world. Samsung saw its market share in North America grow on the back of Galaxy S10 sales, even though smartphone shipments in general hit a five-year low in the country. Chinese consumers have also shown strong interest in the tenth-anniversary Galaxy S lineup, at least when compared to the Galaxy S9 and S9+.

So S11 will sell bad.

That’s a good performance, though it should be remembered that during the period of time the S9 plus launched Brazil was going through major social unrest and a plummeting economy. Things have settled down a lot since the last few months of 2018. Our own process control customers in Brazil simply stopped doing business. It’s coming back now thankfully.

Despite the high sales of the S10 line … believe it or not, Brazil is so important to Samsung that there is still no version of Bixby in Brazilian Portuguese. In a country with a population of 210 million people, sales could be much higher if Samsung faces the country seriously.

You are not missing much! It’s a gift not to have it. I m sure majority of the people try to turn it off I’d like myself never ever use it since the s8

I use it constantly though I know I may be one of the minority. It’s a pity really, as it is brilliant for controlling the phone and our Samsung smart devices like the fridge, air conditioning, tv, audio system, security system, lighting, washing machine, dishwasher, etc. It can even close the garage door, and unlock the car! Of course it’s less valuable if you don’t have those things I do admit. And it’s not great for web search as yet, though it is improving slooowwwllyyy!!
