Bollywood actress teases ultra-wide camera on Samsung’s Galaxy M series

Bollywood actress Disha Patani has teased the ultra-wide camera on Samsung's upcoming Galaxy M lineup of smartphones in a short advert on Instagram. Samsung has been surprisingly upfront about talking about its new budget lineup ahead of the official launch, even telling us when two Galaxy M devices will get Pie, and the advert gives us a good look at one of the devices.

Disha Patani, who's one of the most widely (no pun intended) followed Bollywood celebrities on Instagram, takes the phone out of an M-shaped box and shows off the ultra-wide camera. It seems to offer the same kind of wide scene capture that we saw on the Galaxy A7 (2018) and Galaxy A9 (2018), and Samsung is clearly betting big on the ultra-wide capabilities to make its M series phones stand out. We also get to see the waterdrop notch of the Infinity-V display once again, in addition to the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Patani also reveals that the Galaxy M smartphones will be announced on January 28th at 6 PM IST but falls short of telling us the name of the devices. But we already know it's the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 that will be debuting first, with the latter's 5,000 mAh battery to be one of the major highlights. One lucky customer has already been able to play with the Galaxy M20 and has praised its battery backup, although we'll need to test the phone on our own to find out how good of a real-life experience it offers.
