Brand value goes a long way in any industry and it's something that audiophiles (people who appreciate high-end audio products) are very particular about. Audio brands tend to enjoy strong loyalty from their customers. They continue to innovate and offer new products so that customers keep coming back for more.

It's not uncommon for smartphone manufacturers to link up with popular camera and audio brands. They're two features that can really get people to spend that extra bit of money on a smartphone. HTC had a longstanding partnership with Beats and its high-end smartphones boasted the latter's logo as a testament to the devices' audio capabilities. Nokia's cameras used Zeiss optics while Huawei is leveraging Leica's brand recognition to hype up the camera capabilities of its flagship devices.

Samsung has been doing something similar. “AKG tuned” audio is now a staple on its flagship smartphones and tablets since the past couple of years. They also ship with AKG-branded earphones out of the box. There are other brands that Samsung could have used for this purpose as well which are perhaps more recognizable than AKG. One example that comes to mind is of JBL.

So the question is, which of the following audio brands are the best known in your country? All of them are owned by Harman International which is a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics. Vote below and let us know your thoughts about these audio brands in the comments below.

Results: As expected, JBL is the most popular brand, getting 60 percent of all votes. AKG comes next with a 23 percent share of the votes, so we're guessing Samsung does have a good enough target market. Harman/Kardon came in third with 17 percent of votes, while Infinity and Revel didn't get enough votes to matter.
