Samsung’s new flip phone generated quite a bit of hype over the past week or so. Flip phones have long been discarded as a relic of the past. They’re not as popular with customers now as they once were.

A small market does exist for them in certain parts of the world, though. Samsung continues to cater to that market by launching flip phones, like the one it has launched today.

The question is, do you want flip phones to come back? Does the form factor make sense when the internals are similar to any other mid-range handset as we’ve seen with Samsung’s new SM-G9298 flip phone?

Vote below and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Results: 46 percent of those who participated in this poll surprisingly voted for flip phones to come back while 29 percent believe we’re better off without them. 26 percent are ambivalent and would like to use a modern flip phone first before deciding.

I want flip phone but not like this… Why the hell they cannot make something like this.. – take s8 screen / cut it in half. Still have my old Motorola RAZR as a backup. lol. Even managed to buy a new battery for it. I’d look at a flip phone but I don’t think I’d ever buy one again.

Honestly, I like this phone. I’d really like to see one in person. I’d consider it.

What is the purpose of the double screen? A flip phone is normally made for protecting the screen while closed.
In fact, both screens are the same. I just don’t get it. I used to like it but now that we all use many social apps, i think it might be hard to use an old type keypad instead of a keyboard.

Slick wraps are selling Note 8 skins ALREADY! Like they did with the S8s. They were spot on with the device. So this is definitely how the Note8 will look
