New batch of Galaxy S8 case renders puts the camera flash back where it belongs

A lot of case makers have been coming out in the open with their renders for the Galaxy S8, and one has chosen to remain anonymous and tipped the folks over at GSM Arena off with yet another batch of renders of Samsung’s upcoming flagship. These images are apparently “based on accurate schematics”, but they don’t show us anything new or notably different.

Well, the flash and heart rate sensors are on the camera module’s left this time around, and there seems to be no headphone jack at the bottom, keeping alive the doubts on Samsung’s final decision about the traditional audio port. From what one of our own sources tells us, the location of the speakers – at opposite ends of the phone – is correct. Do they feature Harman audio? No one knows for sure.

But with the Galaxy S8 expected to be all-screen and (virtually) zero-bezel on the front, most of these concept images could be very close to the real deal. There is simply no way to confirm at this point in time, so keep taking these leaks with a pinch of salt. The latest renders are pasted below for your perusal.

Read more »

If you want a physical button why leave nokia before? Of course phone design changes. Soon all physical button on the phone will disappear

And also before, i like samsung with headphone jack but as i continue with my everyday life and activities, can anymore use it. Why? Its because of the hassle of the cord. I always change headphone before because it broke on my pocket when i sit. Now i preferred wireless. Its convenient.

I think, after having S3, S4, S5 and now the regular S7, that his is my last Samsung phone. I totaly dislike the design. I don’t like or need curves and the lack of phisical buttons it’s again a big “no-no”. Those buttons made me opt for Samsung phones. It may be appealing for others but from my view, it is the worst design on a phone. Maybe I will switch to Pixel…

Yeah because the pixel has phisical buttons, right…

Maybe 2nd gen will have 🙂 I’m planning to stay for another year with my standard S7. And, anyway… if Samsung embrase this stupid change, If I have to choose between two models with no phisical buttons, then I will choose the Google product. Those phisical buttons were those things that made my choose Samsung phones.

Change is always good. I was a nexus lifer until the pixel and went S7. Now I’m going to stay with them for a while.

Your loss, I loved the edges on the Note 7 which is why I bought it, it felt so nice in the hands, and when I had to send it back twice I was really pissed, so I went with the iPhone 7 on a free upgrade in a year contract. The reason I picked the iPhone 7 was because it corners were curved like the note7. Roll on S8 be so nice to have Android back.

If this is a render from a case maker, they likelly wouldnt be concerned with the placement of the GSM/MicroSD card slot. It looks like SAMMY may have finally put stereo speakers on it (top and bottom), and found a way to put the finger print sensor under the screen.. I don’t see any difference in the placement of the flash/heartrate sensor on the render…. They’re in the same place on my S7E as they are in the photo… to the right of the camera. It does look like theres an extra hole at the bottom, besides the microphone… Could… Read more »

I don’t know if the girls would love the design, but I’m definitely a fan of it. However, I’m still wondering about the credibility of the render…

either the fingerprint must be on the front our back. and in this case its not so it must be fake

webergti
webergti

Could be but samsung was trying to make the whole front to be a finger print reader so no mater where you put your finger on the front screen it will unlock the phone

It’s the best so far, but also fake. They’ve forgotten the SIM/Micro-SD Card Slot.

Could potentially be right under the power button.

Potentially 😉

Front facing speaker will be better and bring back the old style power and volume rocker button potition

Don’t think so… Not your typical Samsung design… Back looks good… But button placement isn’t correct, telephone speaker isn’t correct design, no Samsung logo anywhere, bottom and top have a random and hideous curve that doesn’t go with the corners…

I don’t believe Samsung would spend billions and months/years designing the phone to come up with that. I know it’s a render, but I can guarantee it’s inaccurate.

Metal back and wireless charging do not go together, and Samsung has invested way too much in wireless charging. This would appear to have a “unibody” metal back. Of course, Samsung is able to do a lot of things that were previously impossible, but it’s doubtful based on physics that this particular thing would work.

Hope they release a small size version of this phone. Eg 5.1 inch screen

Bit disappointed that the curve was not as squared off as the lovely note 7 design.

The phone does look fat and thicker than the s7 which is a bad point being not pocket friendly

Hope they have ditched the glass back for a more sturdy metal case
