The Gear S2 classic and Gear S2 are 40mm and 42mm in diameter respectively. Most modern watches are sized similarly but over the past couple of years, there has been a push by consumers towards bigger watches. Customers have moved from largely preferring 38-40mm and 40-42mm watches to bigger sizes like 42-44mm and 44-48mm. Some of the most iconic Swiss watch brands like IWC, Breitling, and Hublot now have many 48mm models in their portfolio so it's not going to be surprising if Samsung bumps up its smartwatch to this size and subsequently increases the display size which will result in a better user experience as more screen real estate is always welcome. So, what do you think, should Samsung stick with 40-42mm or should it get with the times and embrace the current trend in the watch industry?
Update: The poll has been closed and the results show that 67 percent of voters would like the Gear S3 to be bigger and feature a larger display, while 33 percent believe that Samsung should stick with the size of the Gear S2 for its next smartwatch as well.
