Samsung’s Music app now available through the Play Store

Samsung has unbundled yet another native app and listed it on the Google Play Store. Samsung’s Music app is now available from the Play Store in beta. This makes it easier for the company to roll out updates to individual apps without having to push new software updates. It’s like any other music app aside from the fact that it’s “optimized” for Samsung’s Android devices, and its arrival comes after the launch of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, which don’t feature the company’s proprietary music player out of the box.

The app supports playback for multiple sound formats like MP3, FLAC, AAC and WMA. It allows users to sort song lists by categories which include Genre, Folder, Composer, Album, Track and Artist. The user interface feels familiar and is in line with Samsung’s design aesthetic. The changelog mentions that this is a “beta test version,” which means that updates are going to arrive in the near future. It’s only compatible with devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. If you happen to have one you can download Samsung Music from the Google Play Store for free.

I just don’t understand why Samsung removed it from the J series and just left the crappy Google play music as the default music app.
I recently bought the J5 to use it mainly for music for my workouts because my Note 4 is too big and even bigger with the case on. To my surprise Samsung’s stock music app is not installed. I didn’t do my homework properly but I assumed it would be there.
I downloaded it using the apk file or whatever but it’s not the same it’s not reading all my tracks only the ones I bought from Amazon and one burned CD (weird!!!).
Now I’m using Neutron app which is not bad but my folders and tracks are not organised the way I want to and have them in my Note 4.

How to install on note 3(N9005) device?

I did wonder where that got too! First thing I looked for and it wasn’t there. Had to look through the app screen about 3 times to make sure i never overlooked it. My fist thought was typical, they fill out our memory with bloat ware we’re not going to use, but take away our music app that we use all the time. Well… better late then never I guess.
