Facebook is working on supporting immersive ads and 360-degrees video for VR headsets and other platforms including the web and iOS. It's also rolling out 360-degree video uploading tools to Facebook pages which allows companies, artists and the like to deliver better content to people around the world.

If you're having trouble uploading these sort of videos then Facebook has you covered with 360video.fb.com, which is a website containing all the resources and tips needed to make this sort of footage. The page also has some demo 360 videos to try out and they are brilliant.

In order to bring this level of content to Gear VR consumers, Facebook is working with some big names in the camera maker industry like Theta, Giroptic, IC Real Tech, and 360 Fly. They want to make 360 videos a more casual matter and this means working on an easier way to share videos like this.

We've already seen some clever video ads on the Facebook so it's all in a beginner phase, but Facebook is working with Samsung, Walt Disney, and AT&T to bring richer content, and with Samsung Gear VR headsets being available for pre-order already, you should enjoy some very rich content in the future.
