    Samsung announces seven-city tour to celebrate Samsung Pay’s US launch

    Samsung Pay was launched in the United States a month after it first arrived for the public in South Korea, the new payments service can certainly do with all of the publicity it gets, so Samsung has decided to take a break from publishing ads and actually going on a seven-city tour of the United States to celebrate the launch of Samsung Pay. Consumers in each city will get special offers and prizes via Samsung Pay during the tour, at each city Samsung will partner up with local retailers to provide discounts while providing people a great opportunity to try out Samsung Pay for themselves.

    “Where better to showcase the most widely-accepted mobile payment service than at merchants and retailers in some of America’s most vibrant and iconic cities,” says Narayanan Murugesan who is the vice president of strategy and operations, Samsung Electronics America. The tour will start off in Austin at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, Samsung Pay is the official mobile payment partner for the festival, enabling attendees to pay for food, drink and other items using Samsung Pay. The service also brings for them a 50% discount on any ACL gear at Samsung Pay Stands in the Galaxy Experience and Galaxy Owners Lounge set up on festival grounds. The tour's next stop is Dallas between October 9-11, it will be in Atlanta during October 16-18, in New York during October 23-25, October 30-November 1 in Chicago before heading off to the West Coast for San Francisco between November 6-8 and Los Angeles on November 13-15.
