Galaxy Note 5 is being released early to hold off competition from Apple’s new iPhones
Over the past few years Samsung has unveiled new Galaxy Note handsets at the IFA convention in Berlin which takes place every September, there was no reason to believe otherwise until we came to know that this time around Samsung is not sticking to the same release timeframe. Instead the company is going to go for an early release possibly hoping that this would aid in holding off competition from the new iPhones that are due this September.
Citing industry sources a report out of Korea today suggests that Samsung is going to hold its event for the Galaxy Note 5 on August 13 in New York, however we have exclusively reported about a week back that the event is actually going to take place on August 12 with the handset being released shortly after in select markets on August 21. Samsung will also launch the Galaxy S6 edge+ alongside the Galaxy Note 5 which is basically an enlarged version of the Galaxy S6 edge. Galaxy Note 5 is going to feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with an Exynos 7422 processor underneath hooked up to 4GB RAM. It will have a 16-megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and 5-megapixel front camera. The S Pen will be present but there’s confusion regarding its mechanism, whether it will be auto-eject or push-to-release, we’ll find out soon enough.

It’s not the first time Samsung has held a separate launch from a tech show either. Ever think that about this fact: Samsung is releasing Galaxy Note 5 early because they already know it’s going to steal and splash cold water on iPWN’d 6s+ fake phablet!!! :DDD ……this story is laughable at best!

Samsung don’t care about the customers, they just care about money.
Note 5 will ignored by samsung on 13 of August and they will start focus on Galaxy S7 as they do for Note 4.
Samsung treat the Note series as a low quality products.
oh focus only about money if i recall didn’t the s6 and s6 edge sell more than the s5 because the company listened to what people wanted or they hypnotized them into buying -_-
If people say that they choose an Android smartphone over an iPhone because of MicroSD and removable battery, iPhone should have been a total failure. And by the contrary, iPhone has been a huge success since its launch and it sells much more than smartphones from Sony, LG, Motorola and HTC. It seems clear that the majority of people don’t care about MicroSD and removable battery.
Let’s really compare Applelets to Fabulous Phablets here. First off they want you fools to believe all iPhones sold are all….. every single one of them…. are all iPhone 6 models only. In reality over half are iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 5c models still selling in China, India, Brazil etc! Auto eject S pen ? We’re not there yet, let expect something like push to release..
The mechanism is already been demonstrated. It’s not going to shoot it out, naturally. Just make it possible to grab easy. Not that it can’t be simply pushed in to eject on top of an Auto Eject Feature!
“A patent recently filed by Samsung in early July suggest the S Pen may eject upon voice command.” I guess that throws a pot of cold water on your ignorance of REALITY!!! 😀

The note 5 should not look like a larger S6 that’s what the S6 edge+ is for…if the note don’t have what u guys are complaining about in my opinion I think it will still be a great fone…My S6 is a beast so if it have some S6 features that’s cool with me
they will rush the note 5 out that will leave first buyers with a buggy phone. note 4 owners are not happy with the way samsung has over looked updates old phones getting bug fixes before the flagship. lolipop has been a disaster for sammy. wonder what big bugs the note 5 will bring lol

Don’t know what “your” note 4 experience is but the iphones are nowhere near the note 4 in terms of functionality or anything else.

i am not talking about specifications gazadon of course note 4 has the best specifications over iphone but i am talking about updates the phone was treated like a midrange device this never happened with any previous note before to be treated like that, i checked a review of note 4 android 5.1.1 believe it or not no new touchwiz, no themes option, no 64bit enabled, even the removal of S finder option which is not an option is not included, THERE IS NO TINY NEW FEATURE IN ANDROID 5.1.1 FOR NOTE 4. thats why i will never ever buy… Read more »
Oh…… I guess that’s why Apple is hiding the lame truth about their iPhablet Wantabee iPWND 6+ sales! lol…. Yah…. in US alone Samsung sells Note Series Phones at in at least a 5 to one ratio against all other Phablets! 😀 …..but lying and being a FUD Pumping Fool is a prime example of why Samsung has 55% US market share sewed up over Apple’s measly 32% over the last quarter! lol….

Samsung has used this timing strategy before and I can’t recalling it working. One, if you’re willing to change your release strategy based on one competitor, you’re basically acknowledging that this competitor is at the top of the food chain. Two, iPhone users are not going to simply flock to the Note 5. Apple has a phablet now–they’ll just wait to see what Apple releases in the fall. Three, in the U.S. at least, perhaps Samsung can snag some off-contract Android users before they consider an iPhone, but that’s a small window of opportunity.

Even better, stop being reactionary and, instead, develop products that people want regardless of release timing. The problem is, if Samsung asked people to describe what they want from a phone, they’d end up describing an iPhone. This is a challenge for all Android OEMs: besides pricing, why would someone choose an Android phone over an iPhone? NO 4GB RAM = NO need new Note
NO SD slot = NO need new Note
NO removable battery (4000) = NO need new Note
NO Infrared blaster = NO need new Note
NOTE 5 without INFRARED blaster and removable battery and micro sd slot is real failure

note 5 will be a larger S6. as for apple well people who prefer apple will buy the iphone just as them who like samsung will buy samsung. i cant see samsung stealing many apple fans. i have the update starved note 4 i see no real benefit buying the note 5. the note5 could easily be a flop for dear old sammy

THE NOTE 5 WILL COME WITH IR AND TEMP SENSOR,
FM radio is bad use Tune in radio app it is modern and does not require headphones to be plugged in
it is the best but still high price.
Lets hope Note 5 is NOT just “enlarged version of the Galaxy S6 “!!!
