DongHoon Jang, senior vice president and head of Camera R&D Group at Samsung Electronics, highlights the company's progression from a VGA front and 5-megapixel rear camera in the Galaxy S to the 2-megapixel front and 16-megapixel rear shooter in the Galaxy S5 and says we can expect to see similar advancements when the Galaxy S6 arrives.
Jang writes “The same passion and dedication has been put into building the cameras for the release of our 2015 flagship model. It will be intelligent and do all the thinking for users, allowing them to take amazing pictures under any conditions, without having to worry about more than just pressing the shutter button.”
Sounds promising enough, and if you're craving more information, we exclusively reported on the Galaxy S6 camera details earlier today revealing a 20-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera with both sensors being built by Samsung itself.
