The Music Frame is Samsung's first wireless lifestyle speaker. It is designed to be paired with Samsung TVs and soundbars, but you can also use it as a standalone wireless speaker to listen to music from streaming services or directly from your smartphone or tablet. The Music Frame was launched in early 2024 and is based on the design of The Frame TV.
This wireless speaker can be placed on a table or hung on a wall, making it highly flexible.
What makes the Music Frame (LS60D) such a unique speaker?
The Music Frame is a square-shaped wireless speaker that looks like a photo frame from the front. You can even stick your photos on it. It seamlessly blends into your home's interiors. You can customize it using the Art Panel and the Color Bezel frame. While it looks great beside any TV, it would match perfectly with Samsung's The Frame and The Serif lifestyle TVs.
Audio Features
On the inside, it packs six speakers: two woofers, two mid-range drivers, and two tweeters. Thanks to the robust hardware and audio tuning by Samsung Audio Lab's engineers, it offers an immersive audio experience. Thanks to its waveguide technology, the audio is evenly spread across the room, so no matter where you are sitting, you can enjoy the audio without any issues.
The Music Frame features SpaceFit Sound Pro, which uses a microphone and advanced algorithms to calibrate the audio according to the room's acoustics and dimensions.
It features Dolby Atmos for spatial audio and Q-Symphony 3.0 so that it can be paired with Samsung's TVs and soundbars simultaneously to create impactful audio and a more immersive experience. You can pair two Music Frame speakers to a Samsung TV, a feature that isn't commonly found with other brands' TVs. It has Wireless Dolby Atmos, too.
The Active Voice Amplifier boosts the volume of vocals so they can be heard clearly and not missed in the background audio. The Adaptive Sound feature adjusts the audio tuning according to each scene.

Connectivity Features
Coming to the ways you can play music through the Music Frame, it features AirPlay 2, Alexa, Bluetooth 5.2, Google Cast, and Tap Sound.
You can use your iPhone, iPad, MacBook, or any other Apple product to play audio directly from it to the Music Frame via AirPlay 2. You can ask Alexa to play music from your favorite music streaming service to the Music Frame or from your phone via Bluetooth.
You can also cast music from your Android, iOS, or iPadOS device using Google Cast. If you have a Samsung phone, you can use Tap Sound to mirror audio from your phone to the Music Frame. Samsung's SmartThings app on Android and iOS/iPadOS devices allows you to control and adjust the Music Frame. It also features Spotify Connect and Roon connectivity.
Smart Features
The Music Frame can even act as a SmartThings Hub to control your compatible smart home devices. However, to use that feature, you need to connect the SmartThings USB dongle to the Music Frame. Moreover, you can use your Samsung soundbar or TV remote controller to control the Music Frame.
Since the Music Frame has high-quality audio, dozens of connectivity features, and several smart features, it is unlikely you will find such a feature-rich and good-sounding speaker, especially at a price of $400 (USA).
