Samsung has released its latest security update to the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in the US. The international and carrier-locked variants of the smartphones haven't received the December 2021 security update yet.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with firmware version N98xU1UES2DUK2 in the US. The update is available on most carrier networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C-Spire, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.

The latest software includes the December 2021 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities, including the ones related to Broadcom Wi-Fi chips and Exynos processors. The update might also include device stability improvements and general bug fixes.

If you have an unlocked Galaxy Note 20 or Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in the US, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The Galaxy Note 20 series has already received the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 beta update. Samsung could soon release the stable Android 12 update (One UI 4.0) to the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
