In May, Zynga released the Star Wars: Hunters game for Android. At that time, people discovered that the developer didn’t let them download the game on foldable smartphones, such as the Galaxy Z Fold series devices, through the Google Play Store.
Fast forward to last month, Samsung released the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and surprisingly, the developer made the game available to download on the company’s current flagship foldable device through the app distribution platform. Well, not anymore.
As pointed out by 9To5Google, the Google Play Store doesn’t allow you to download Star Wars: Hunters on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 anymore, just like it doesn’t on any other foldable device, except for the OnePlus Open.
On Galaxy Z Fold 6 units that already have the game installed, it asks people to download an update through Google’s app distribution platform to work. Unfortunately, that update isn’t available for the smartphone, rendering the game useless on the foldable device.
The story continues after the video…
At the moment, there’s no information as to why Zynga hasn’t made Star Wars: Hunters available to download on foldable devices even though it works perfectly on them (at least on the Galaxy Z Fold 6). We hope that the developer fixes the issue soon.
