BREAKING: Stable Galaxy S20 Android 11 One UI 3.0 update is out!

Samsung kicked off the One UI 3.0 beta program in September and the Galaxy S20 series was the first to join. Likewise, the Galaxy S20 recently became Samsung's first smartphone to exit the beta stages of development and receive the first stable version of One UI 3.0. The stable update is now rolling out in the USA via Verizon and it will reach additional markets in the coming days and weeks.

One UI 3.0 is a more modern take on Samsung's proprietary Android skin, one that streamlines various UI elements including the notification shade and the overall look of 1st party apps, from Contacts and Phone to Gallery and more. Aside from the visual changes, One UI 3.0 also adds a wide range of new features to the Galaxy S20 series, such as double-tapping to turn off the screen, additional Camera filters, and Single Take improvements to name a few.

There was some confusion about Verizon's update at first and it's still not entirely clear if the recent update was pushed out early by mistake or by design. Either way, you should be able to download the latest update on your Verizon-bound Galaxy S20 model by opening Settings on your phone, accessing System updates and tapping Download and install. Galaxy S20 owners in other markets should stay put as the One UI 3.0 / Android 11 rollout will expand beyond Verizon's borders soon.

Thanks for the tip, Khidaking4!
