Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy M30s in India today. Going by the name, it is supposed to be an upgraded version of the existing M30, but how much of an improvement is it really? Well, when compared to the other recently-launched ‘s’ variants, the M30s definitely brings a lot more upgrades to the table.

As the spec comparison below shows, the Galaxy M30s boasts upgraded rear cameras, a massive 6,000mAh battery, and a faster Exynos 9611 SoC. It also runs a newer version of One UI and comes with a few extra software features (mainly in the camera department), as you'll find detailed in our soon-to-be-published review.

The Galaxy M30 already comes with a large 5,000mAh battery, but Samsung is pushing the boundaries even further with the new model. In the all-important camera department, the M30s bumps the resolution of the primary rear camera to 48 MP and the neighboring ultrawide lens to 8 MP.

Clearly, all of these are substantial improvements that make the Galaxy M30s much more compelling than what the name suggests. Check out exactly how the specs compare between the two in the table below.
