Samsung has released the second beta version of One UI 9.0 (Android 17) for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. It comes a week after the brand opened the beta program for the new software for the two phones.

Currently, Samsung is rolling out the updates in its home country, South Korea. They bring seven changes, which include new features and bug fixes. You can check out the official changelog below (via Samsung Community).

  • Added new AI features.
  • Fixed Bixby Vision translation errors
  • Improved temporary crashing in the Contacts app
  • Improved WiFi connection dropouts
  • Fixed an issue where 15x zoom did not work when Video mode > Zoom max was set
  • Fixed an issue where only the cover screen was displayed and the main screen did not appear when the cover was opened
  • Fixed an issue where the gaming controller would not connect

Besides these features, the update also brings four new features that debuted with the Galaxy S26 series and the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series.

  • Call Brief: During a voice call, the screen displays contextual information related to the person. It can be related events or things you discussed in previous calls or messages. This makes it is easier for you to remember things and have better context of the conversation.
  • Custom Cards in Now Brief: You can create custom cards that display information you care about. It lets you choose from several data points from apps like Samsung Health, Samsung Weather, and YouTube. You can schedule for them to appear daily at a specific time of the day.
  • Now Nudge: It uses data visible on the screen in real-time to suggest actions and steps without the need to switch to another app.
  • My FanCam: It can track a person in an existing video and crop it so that the reframed video focuses on that person. It works with any video that is stored on your phone.

These features were also released with the recent One UI 9.0 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series.

Samsung should release the second One UI 9.0 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in other countries over the next few hours. You can get it by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
