The July 2022 security update is quickly becoming available for more Galaxy smartphones. After the Galaxy A32, A23, and S22 series got the update, Samsung is now bringing the new firmware to Galaxy S21 customers in Europe.

The July 2022 security patch is now rolling out for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra in Germany. Other European markets should soon follow. Galaxy S21 customers can identify the new update by firmware number G99xBXXS5CVFB.

Judging by the latter, the new update should only contain the July 2022 security patch and no other new features or additions to One UI.

Samsung has yet to detail the July 2022 security patch, but as usual, it should improve security and squash vulnerabilities in Android OS, One UI, and Samsung apps. We’ll keep you posted as soon as the company unveils the official changelog for this month’s patch.

Until then, Samsung customers in Germany should be able to download the latest update via the Settings app on their Galaxy S21s by accessing the “Software update” menu and tapping “Download and install.”

For readers who prefer manual updates, the latest official Samsung firmware files are available for download from our website.
