Samsung Galaxy M55
Samsung has started rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy M56 in India. It brings the September 2026 security patch, which fixes 90 security issues, making the phone more secure.
The update is 321.67MB in size and carries firmware version M566BXXS7CZI1. The changelog also says that once you install this update, you won’t be able to go to a previous firmware.
To get the September 2026 security patch on your Galaxy M56, go to Settings > Software update > Check for updates. If an update is available, you will see the Update button. Once the update is downloaded, it will show you the Restart Now button. Tap on it and wait for the phone to restart to complete the installation.
The Galaxy M56 is currently running on One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) and is eligible to get Samsung’s next and latest version of the custom Android interface, One UI 9.0. Based on Android 17, it offers many UI changes and new features. Unfortunately, the brand hasn’t revealed an exact date for when it will release the new software.
