One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy A56 - Source: Abhijeet Mishra / SamMobile
The Galaxy A06, Galaxy F06, and Galaxy M06 are Samsung’s three most affordable smartphones eligible for One UI 8.5. On Wednesday, the brand releases the new software for the Galaxy A-series phone, and now, the company is rolling it out for its Galaxy F-series and Galaxy M-series siblings.
One of the first countries where the tech giant is offering One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy F06 and Galaxy M06 is India. The update for the former carries firmware version E066BXXU6CZE6, and that for the latter carries firmware version M066BXXU6CZE6. To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Even though we have entered June, the updates don’t come with the June 2026 security patch. Instead, they pack the May 2026 security patch, which fixes 36 security issues. However, that’s not unusual. Samsung typically offers a major software update with a month-old security patch.
If you were waiting for One UI 8.5, you may probably know the changes and upgrades it offers. For those of you who don’t, it offers a slightly redesigned user interface, especially in apps, more UI customisability, such as that for the Quick Setting panel, and many new features, including Apple AirDrop support.
