It has hardly been a month and a half since Samsung updated the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and the Galaxy Tab A11 with One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2), and now, the brand seems to have started developing its latest Android skin for its smartphones and tablets, One UI 9.0 (Android 17), for the two tablets.
New firmware files for the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and the Galaxy Tab A11 have been spotted on Samsung’s server. They carry versions X406BXXU5DZG1 and X135FXXU4CZG1 (via Fahad Ali Javed). Going by the company’s firmware versioning for its tablets, the new firmware files seem to have a newer Android skin than the current firmware for the two tablets has.
Considering that the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and the Galaxy Tab A11 are running One UI 8.5, the new firmware files most likely feature One UI 9.0. It suggests that the tech giant has started testing the new software for the two tablets, and their release is now one step closer.
Samsung unveiled One UI 9.0 in May by releasing its stable version for the Galaxy S26 series. The brand is expected to debut its stable version with its next foldable phones later this month. The company is said to start rolling out the new software to older devices soon after that.
