The Apple Music app for Samsung's smart TVs is getting better. Samsung today announced that the music streaming service will now be able to display millions of time-synced lyrics along with the music starting today.
Apple has been very conservative with apps for its music streaming service. Samsung's smart TVs are actually the first non-Apple TVs to get Apple Music as the company has not made an app available to any other smart TV platform.
All Samsung smart TVs released in 2018 or later are compatible with Apple Music. If you have one of those TVs, you can access time-synced lyrics starting today as well. This feature would make it so much more fun to sing along to your favorite song as the lyrics are displayed on the big screen synced to the song as it plays.
It's easy to scroll through a song by flipping through its lyrics, jump to a certain verse or skip straight to the chorus. If you've got a lyric stuck in your head and can't quite remember the song, use the lyric in the search feature and you'll find that song on Apple Music.
The Apple Music app is available for download from the Samsung Smart TV App Store. Sign into it with your existing Apple ID or purchase a new subscription via the TV itself. Samsung smart TV owners can get a free three-month Apple Music trial with an individual, family or student subscription.
