Samsung launches its new Smart Monitor lineup globally

Last month, Samsung unveiled three new Smart Monitors—M50C, M70C, and M80C—in South Korea. Today, the company announced that it is launching its 2023 lineup of Smart Monitors globally. It means that the new monitors will soon be sold in many important countries worldwide.

Samsung hasn’t announced the pricing of these monitors yet, but we expect that information to be available individually for each country’s availability announcement.

Smart Monitors M50C, M70C, and M80C will soon be available globally

Samsung’s new Smart Monitor lineup consists of three monitors: M50C, M70C, and M80C. The M50C is the most affordable of the lot and comes in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes. It features Full HD resolution, 250 nits peak brightness, HDR10, 60Hz refresh rate, 4ms response time (grey-to-grey), and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio.

Samsung Smart Monitor M8 M80C White

The Smart Monitor M50C has two HDMI 1.4 ports, two USB Type-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports, 5W+5W stereo speakers, and a remote controller with USB Type-C charging. It is compatible with the 100×100 VESA mount and comes in black and white colors. It can control SmartThings-compatible smart home products using an additional USB dongle.

The Smart Monitor M70C has a 32-inch 4K screen with 300 nits peak brightness, HDR10, a 60Hz refresh rate, 4ms response time, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, and Multi View support. It supports the 100×100 VESA mount and features 5W+5W stereo speakers. It comes in Warm White color and supports adjustments for height, pivot, and tilt adjustments. It has one HDMI 2.0 port, one USB Type-C port (65W Power Delivery charging), and two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports. It is compatible with Samsung’s Slim Fit webcam.

Samsung Smart Monitor M8 M80C Design

The highest-end device in Samsung’s 2023 Smart Monitor lineup is the M80C. It features a 32-inch 4K screen with 400 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, a 60Hz refresh rate, a 3,000:1 aspect ratio, and a 4ms response time. It has built-in support for SmartThings, ZigBee, and Thread (Matter). Its stand supports height, pivot, and tilt adjustments. The monitor will be launched in four colors: Daylight Blue, Spring Green, Sunset Pink, and Warm White. It has two 5W speakers in stereo mode and comes bundled with a remote controller that supports USB Type-C charging. It comes with a Slim Fit Cam in the box.

All Smart Monitors in the 2023 lineup run Tizen and offer audio and video streaming apps

Samsung Smart Monitor M8 M80C SlimFit Cam

The M50C, M70C, and M80C run Tizen OS. So, it supports all the popular audio and video streaming services. They feature Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. These monitors also feature AirPlay 2, Miracast, Samsung DeX support, Multi View (two video streams), Samsung Gaming Hub, Microsoft 365, Workspace, and Google Meet video calling. They also feature far-field microphones to pick up voice commands for Bixby and Alexa.
