Samsung has released the eighth beta version of One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Currently, the brand is rolling it out in Germany. The update is 928.84MB in size and carries firmware version S93xBXXU8ZZCD (via Tarun Vats).
The update brings nine changes, including new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes, which you can check out in the official changelog below. It also brings the March 2026 security patch that fixes 65 security issues present in the previous version of the OS.
To get the Galaxy S25's One UI 8.5 Beta 8, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. According to multiple reports, Samsung will end the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series and release the stable version of the software very soon.
It is also worth pointing out that while the brand is yet to start rolling out the stable version of One UI 8.5 to eligible Galaxy smartphones, the company has also already developed the initial One UI 9.0 (Android 17) build. You can check it out in our video below.
