The Google Play System update date remains unchanged even after installing it.

Lately, Samsung smartphones have been receiving frequent Google Play System updates, and now there’s another one available for devices running the One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) beta, such as the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
On X, @KAILASH61229293 reported that a new Google Play System update is available for the Galaxy S25 Ultra running the beta version of One UI 8.5 and that it is 15MB in size.
When we checked our own Galaxy S25 Ultra, we received a Google Play System update that was 84MB in size, as you can see in the screenshot below. However, even after installing it, the Google Play System update date remained unchanged at 1 March 2026.

We also checked our Galaxy S23 running One UI 8.0 (Android 16) and Galaxy S26+ running One UI 8.5 to see if the update was available for them, but it wasn’t.
You can check for the latest Google Play System update by going to Settings > About phone > Software information > Google Play System update > Check for update.
