MSI has revealed that its upcoming gaming monitor, the MAG OLED 271QPX32, will use Samsung Display’s new QD-OLED Penta Tandem panel. It makes the monitor substantially brighter and longer lasting. It will also feature Samsung’s new display protective film, which not only enhances black levels but also makes the screen more resistant to scratches.
The MSI MAG OLED 271QPX32 is a 27-inch gaming monitor featuring a QD-OLED Penta Tandem panel, Samsung Display’s fourth-generation QD-OLED panel for monitors. It offers a WQHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, a variable refresh rate of up to 320Hz, and a 0.03ms response time. The monitor is certified for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and VESA ClearMR 15000.
Even at a 60-degree viewing angle, the monitor retains 83% of its luminance, earning UL Solutions’ QuantumView verification. That figure is roughly double what standard OLED monitors typically achieve, although OLED displays already perform substantially better than LCD monitors in off-angle viewing.

MSI’s DarkArmor film, which is applied on top of the monitor’s screen, is essentially Samsung Display’s QuantumBlack film. It reduces light reflections by 20% compared to the previous-generation film and increases panel hardness from 2H to 3H. This improvement makes the display less prone to scratches from fingernails and other similarly hard materials.
MSI has also developed the MSI OLED Care 2.0 suite for this monitor. It is designed to reduce the risk of burn-in, a common concern associated with OLED panels.
The monitor features two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4a port, and one USB Type-C port with Alt Mode and 15W USB Power Delivery charging for connected devices.
