Samsung has announced four new Odyssey series gaming monitors, three of which feature OLED panels. These new high-end gaming monitors use improved OLED panels with higher brightness levels and faster refresh rates. The lineup includes the Odyssey OLED G7, the Odyssey OLED G8, and the Odyssey OLED G9.
The Odyssey OLED G7 uses a standard OLED panel, while the Odyssey OLED G8 and the Odyssey OLED G9 feature QD-OLED panels.

The Odyssey OLED G7 is a 42-inch gaming monitor with a curved OLED panel (likely sourced from LG Display). It features 4K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, a 0.03ms response time, HDR, and a 1000R curvature. It offers about 72% more surface area than typical 32-inch monitors and is the world's first 42-inch curved OLED monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
The monitor also includes Samsung's Glare Free coating to reduce reflections and glare in bright environments.
The newest version of the Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SJ) features a 32-inch flat display with 4K resolution, a 360Hz native refresh rate, HDR support, and VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 600 certification. It supports both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible standards.
For competitive esports players who prioritize speed over resolution, it features Triple Mode support. This allows gamers to run QHD resolution at up to 520Hz or Full HD resolution at up to 680Hz.
The monitor uses Samsung Display's fifth-generation QD-OLED panel with a Penta Tandem structure and an RGB Stripe sub-pixel layout. The Penta Tandem structure delivers higher efficiency and up to twice the panel lifespan, while the RGB Stripe layout eliminates color fringing for significantly sharper text. Like the G7, it also includes a Glare Free coating.
Connectivity options include a DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) port, two HDMI ports, a USB Type-C port with 98W Power Delivery, a USB hub with two downstream ports, and a built-in KVM switch.
The Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SJ) is Samsung's newest flagship gaming monitor. It features a 49-inch curved screen with Dual QHD resolution (5,120 x 1,440 pixels), a 360Hz native refresh rate, a 0.03ms response time, HDR, and a peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits.
It also uses Samsung Display's fifth-generation QD-OLED panel with Penta Tandem technology, offering twice the lifespan of previous generations. Its RGB Stripe sub-pixel layout drastically reduces color fringing for cleaner text rendering.
Gamers who want extreme motion clarity can switch to Dual HD resolution (2,560 x 720 pixels) via Dual Mode to reach an ultra-fast 720Hz refresh rate.
Samsung has not announced pricing or exact release dates for these monitors. The company stated that market availability and pricing details will be shared at a later date.
