    Samsung launches Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor in India

    Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled the Odyssey OLED G9, its first QD-OLED ultrawide gaming monitor. Since then, the monitor has been launched in South Korea, the US, and some other countries. Today, Samsung announced the launch of the Odyssey OLED G9 in the Indian market.

    The Odyssey OLED G9 comes in two variants: G93SC and G95SC. The G95SC is the pricier of the two and costs INR 1,99,999 (around $2,440) in India. It is available for purchase through Amazon.in, Samsung Shop, and all other leading retail stores, and the company is offering a cashback of INR 3,500 when they buy it using credit or debit cards from select banks.

    The pricing and availability of the G93SC haven't been unveiled yet.

    Odyssey OLED G9 specifications

    The Odyssey OLED G9 features a 49-inch QD-OLED screen with a 32:9 aspect ratio, Dual-QHD (5,120 x 1,440) resolution, and DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. The screen has 1800R curvature, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03ms response time. The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA Adaptive Sync for tear-free visuals.

    It has a height-adjustable stand that supports tilt. You can also use a VESA mount with it. It has built-in 5W stereo speakers, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, one HDMI 2.1 port, one Micro HDMI 2.1 port, and a USB 3.0 Type-A hub. It has RGB lighting on the rear that can sync with the connected device.

    The G95SC runs Tizen, thanks to its Neo Quantum Processor Pro chipset. It has access to all the popular audio/video streaming apps and comes with a remote controller. It also features built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Game Bar, Gaming Hub, SmartThings (IoT Hub), Samsung Health, Samsung TV Plus, Alexa, Bixby, AirPlay 2, Tap Sound, Tap View, Microsoft 365, and Google Meet.
