The art campaign, called “Olympic Games Instants Shared #withGalaxy,” is now live at key locations throughout Paris. Each location hosts billboards with iconic images captured by French photographer Raymond Depardon and his son, Simon Depardon.
The campaign pays homage to Raymond's legendary work and includes portraits of athletes that have participated in Olympic competitions between 1964 and 1980.
This archival black-and-white imagery captured by Raymond Depardon throughout the decades is contrasted by new photographs from his son Simon Depardon.
The new imagery presents some of the newest Olympic and Paralympic Games and promotes Team Samsung Galaxy athletes, including Sarah Bee (Breaking), Aurelien Giraud (Skateboarding), Mejdi Schalck (Sport Climbing), and Yvan Wouandji (Blind Football).
These images across Paris are accompanied by QR codes, and until September 8, passersby and fans can scan these codes to share messages on social media and show support for Team Samsung Galaxy.
Fans who want to participate in the art campaign can capture posters with their cameras and share them on Instagram using the #TeamSamsungGalaxy hashtag. If you do, you have a chance to win a Galaxy S24 Ultra. You can find more details on the official Galaxy Experience Paris webpage. The page also contains a map with the campaign's photo locations.
The 2024 Paris Olympics start on July 26, and the 2024 Paralympics open on August 28. It's an exciting time for Samsung, who is a major Games partner, especially now that the company is gearing up to host the next big Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris on July 10.
Over the past couple of weeks, Samsung also launched the Open Always Wins campaign in Paris and released a wide range of new mobile accessories that celebrate the upcoming games.
